Once our team analyzed the technical documents, energy usage records, and gold production trends, the mining plan and existing production processes were used to forecast GHG emissions and intensity throughout the mine’s lifespan.
By examining the data, production processes, and equipment energy use, we identified 46 practical alternatives to cut down emissions at various phases of production. We developed marginal abatement cost (MAC) curves to help our client see how much cost savings they could achieve with each scenario. Our engineering consultants provided expert guidance and a customized plan that prepared our client to set up mid-term emissions targets and estimate the costs for future emissions reduction projects.
