About SysEne
We help owners deliver complex systems infrastructure by connecting technology, processes, and people. Our Systems Project Management approach integrates engineering, implementation, and strong team coordination to deliver higher-quality outcomes, achieve lower costs, and improve schedules.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Project Manager who applies a systems mindset to infrastructure delivery. You will plan and coordinate work across communications, control, and power systems; align design with operations; and enable and facilitate integrated systems through clear plans, pre-production test environments for software-intensive systems, and evidence-based readiness.
You will work across facility construction, vehicles, electrical power systems, networks and telecoms, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and station control, security and access, field devices and sensors, and applications that integrate IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) in live operating environments.
What you will do
- Build integrated delivery plans that connect design, procurement, pre-production testing, field works, and cutover readiness
- Coordinate interfaces across facilities, communications, control/SCADA, and power/ (Uninterruptible Power Supply) UPS, ensuring changes are tested, documented, and controlled
- Run structured design and constructability reviews, track decisions, and close gaps before they reach the field
- Plan and coordinate pre-production and pilot activities for software-intensive systems, including data flows, access, monitoring, and rollback plans
- Establish practical acceptance criteria, verification evidence, and cutover checklists for night or off-peak work windows
- Bridge stakeholders across engineering, operations, IT/OT, safety, and vendors to maintain shared understanding and momentum
- Report progress with concise visuals and narratives that help leaders decide and teams deliver
- Learn and support practices such as Concept of Operations and Requirements Management as part of our methodology (training provided)
- This role includes regular on-site time in Vancouver (such as SkyTrain control centers, stations, and facilities) of up to three days per week, depending on project needs.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a combination of education and experience in a related technical field (IT, systems integration etc.)
- 5 to 10 years delivering engineering or infrastructure projects in a project management, commissioning, or systems integration role
- Hands-on coordination experience in at least two of the following: communications systems, control/SCADA, electrical power/UPS, security and access, station/facility systems, real-time/telemetry data, software/middleware integration, facilities development, or vehicle integration
- Lead with empathy and build strong trust-based relationships with all stakeholders, aligning project objectives with client and community needs
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment and shared understanding across stakeholders
- Cultivate high-performance teams, leading cross-functional groups toward shared goals and effective delivery
- Strength in planning, risk management, configuration control, and change management in live operational environments
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues in an integrated, multi-disciplinary environment
- Clear written and verbal communication that connects technical detail to operational impact
- Experience leading change initiatives and contributing to high-performing teams (Preferred)
- P.Eng. designation or PMP certification (Preferred)
- Experience shaping Concept of Operations and requirements that inform testing and acceptance (Nice to have)
- Ability to use AI tools to assist with drafting, organizing inputs, and supporting quality checks while keeping professional judgment in charge
What we offer
- Meaningful work that improves public systems and daily operations
- Flexible hybrid work, supportive team culture, and strong mentorship
- Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, paid vacation, and professional development
